RAC (Recovery Audit Contractors): an inside out view, extracted exclusively from the RAC Statement of Work. Congress passed legislation to allow Medicare to contract with RAC auditors to find improper payments. Besides finding improper payments, their goal is to improve claims processing and provider education to prevent improper claims initially. What does this mean for you and your facility?
