Restraint & Seclusion - General InformationThe use of restraint is high-risk and potentially harmful. It is intended to be used only when other alternatives have not been successful or are clearly unlikely to succeed in preventing injury to a patient or others. Seclusion is the involuntary confinement of a person in a locked room. Seclusion is not used at this facility.
COURSE OUTCOMES -- Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Use alternative measures instead of restraint
- Use the proper procedures and policies for restraint on patients admitted to our facility
