Restraint & Seclusion - General Information

The use of restraint is high-risk and potentially harmful. It is intended to be used only when other alternatives have not been successful or are clearly unlikely to succeed in preventing injury to a patient or others. Seclusion is the involuntary confinement of a person in a locked room. Seclusion is not used at this facility.
